Bildungshaus St. Bernhard

The Test spring school 2019 will take place at the Bildungshaus St. Bernhard in the Baroque town Rastatt, located 20km from Baden Baden Baden-Baden, Germany where ETS will be held.

First mentioned on 10 July 1896 by a letter from the Archbishop Friar Freiburg im Breisgau to the "Honorable Gemeinderath of the city Rastatt", in the summer of 1897, the house was built as an archiepiscopal boy and Gymnasialkonvikt. The number of students varied between 93 and 218, depending on the country's situation and political development.

The building also served as a military hospital during the Second World War, as it was ideally suited for the installation of modern sanitary facilities. The background at that time, that here the young priests were used, could be partly confirmed. The study home St. Bernhard has accommodated to date about 2100 young people. More than 400 priests owe much of their spiritual and spiritual education to this house.

In 1981 the boarding school was closed at the end of the school year. Since then, the building served as a Diocesan Education House. The Bildungshaus St. Bernhard undergoes an innovation in its 25th year of life. Since March 2008 it has been named: St. Bernhard - Wohnen & Tagen. The education center St. Bernhard in Rastatt is under the patronage of the blessed market god Bernhard of Baden. His picture adorns the front of the house, his statue stands in front of the house.
